Windy Metal Garden “By Night”

…..tin men upside down, dolphin tails, shovel heads, duck beaks…. we’ve heard several people guessing as to what the sculpture is supposed to be. Well, they are leaves, our little version of oversized leaves with an industrial twist….we got some shots at dusk where you can easily see the wind vents …or caterpillar nibbles however you prefer to see it.

Today was such a beautiful day we decided to take our lunch to the park, we invited our friends and colleagues in the offices, studios and lofts next door and we ended up as a group of 8 soaking in the sun.

I brought my grandson Alex for a walk in the park, he liked the boulders.

Greener

The park is slowly getting greener from the seeds the birds have managed to leave behind, they have been having a feast and the rabbits are also enjoying the tender leaves of the new plants. You can see here, thanks to all of the rain, within a space of two weeks the grass has really taken off.

Thanks to the city of  Hartford , C T and mayor Pedro E. Segarra we had a successful launch of Pope Park West yesterday. Lifecare Design Inc. couldn’t be more proud to see its sustainable park brought to life as intended. ” I was amazed at how many people really enjoyed it!”  said architect Herman Cortes-Barrios.  This is a milestone for the city of Hartford now that it has paired up to sister park  Pope park.  We look  forward to seeing Pope park west  being filled with many out door concerts  & great events in the near future. Lifecare Design Inc. gives many thanks to all its supporters.

The patina finished evolved nicely but now, two days after this shot, before we could get the sealer on, the rain and excessive humidity affected the finish turning it black and scaly and we had to do the whole process over again. Now we were in a time crunch to be ready for the 15th.
